How do I feel about going to Czechia?
To be honest, I have been busy with day-to-day life. School. Sickness. Doctor’s appointments. Shopping. Cooking. I tend to take things one day at a time. Then Doug reminds me of the countdown (less than a month!) and it hits me: It feels like there is so much to do, and so little time to do it. I have been keeping busy with the to-do lists and not spending time on the wonder of what is ahead.
The crux of the matter is, I get caught up in MY life when I need to remember: My life is HIS.
This is God’s story in the making and I don’t want to miss it. I believe He is calling me to love, connect and encourage the church and people in Czechia. Right now that means taking time out of the Christmas season to plan an English camp. As much as I plan and prepare, I need to trust God will guide my steps and clear my path for the work He has set out for me.I need to open my eyes to the work God is doing and appreciate the opportunities he has laid before me.
How do I fit in God’s story? What does He require of me? He wants me to simply be faithful. Faithful in the gifts He has given me as I search for the best deals in winter clothing. Faithful in applying His word to my life as I struggle with patience and time management. Faithful in loving people I haven’t even met yet. And that clinches the deal for me. I am to love others as Jesus has loved me. Unconditionally. Gracefully. Continually. I need to open my eyes and see His glory at work.
More of Jesus, less of me. That’s where I need to keep my focus.
