I am writing this blog from the upstairs apartment of the Czudek house that has served as our home-away-from-home for the past few days. The windows are open to let some of the nighttime coolness in and all of us are enjoying the last bit of relaxation before we head back to Malenovice for training for Camp 2. In a separate tab in my browser, I have the flight tracker running for the airplane that is bringing the rest of the team back to the United States. It is currently approaching the runway from the northeast and should touchdown within minutes.
My day was spent mostly sleeping so that I could kick the cold that I have before the next phase of our trip. I am feeling much better, but still have a cough and a little bit of congestion in my head. Thankfully this illness has not lasted too long.
The other members of the team managed to get out and see the sights around here. Betsy, Holden and Carolyn traveled to Krakow, Poland with some of our dear Czech friends to see the sights. From the pictures, it looks like it was a fantastic side trip. Levi, on the other hand, explored closer to “home”, walking to nearby villages, through forests and farmlands.
Thank you for following along with us on our journey. We are so thankful for you and your prayers!
