I posted the previous blog entry before the worship service on July 6. I thought I would add a few more updates.
We celebrated two different Children’s camps during the service today. One was for young Czech kids from CB Těšín. There was a slide show showing smiling kids learning about Jesus and having fun. A video for the second camp, also showed smiling kids having fun and learning about Jesus. The second video, however, had a lot more faces that you might recognize because it was from our VBS! Yes! During this church service, the Czech Missionaries that served alongside our VBS team had a chance to report about their trip. We are so proud of each of them.
God also gave me an object lesson on oneness within the body of Christ. Today (like at Family Bible Church) was communion Sunday. They serve the Lord’s supper by having the elders stand up front with the bread and juice/wine to serve the congregation as they come forward to receive them. Due to summer vacations, however, there were not enough elders to serve. I was both blessed and surprised to hear Pastor Ondřej call me forward to help (during the service) to serve the congregation this way.
Pastor Tim has a saying that he makes sure all the elders know: “Be prepared to preach, pray, sing, or die for Jesus at any time” – I think serve the Lord’s supper is implied in this too. Apparently, Pastor Ondřej has a similar saying.
Prayer Updates
Thank you to those of you who prayed for Sarah today. She is back to “normal” now (big praise to God!)
