It is now slightly before midnight as I write this blog. The camp is starting to quiet down after the intense experience of the evening. Our evening program provided a clear presentation of the gospel given by our camp director, followed by an interactive gospel experience known as labyrinth. In labyrinth, students take a self-paced walk through various stations that help them process the reality of salvation in Christ. Afterward, they are invited to respond by visiting a prayer room where camp leaders are prepared to receive them.
This is the most special night of camp which I have described as a “holy night” in previous blogs because the ministry of the Holy Spirit is so visible as He calls students to a relationship (or deeper relationship) with Christ. I have only now begun to hear some of the stories of what God did tonight. By the look of things though, most students had deep encounters with God as they were faced with the truth of His word.
There is much more that I could write about, but it is quite late and I need my sleep. The rest of the team is feeling the need for rest as well and we are pacing ourselves for the end of camp (still a day and a half away). They are all serving well and it is amazing to see how God is using the gifting of each of them in different ways. I am especially thankful for how God used Faith’s devotional today to touch the hearts of many of the campers.
Thanks for all your prayers and support. Until tomorrow, dobrou noc (good night).
Prayer Requests:
- That Christ would be glorified in and through the partnership between Family Bible Church and Církve bratrské v Českém Těšíně (the Czech church) this summer.
